A day at the Airport

May 4, 2013

We woke up and met downstairs in the lobby of Towers to catch the bus at 9:10am.  I hadn't slept very well the night before, and was already really tired.  By the time we were on the bus to the airport, I was exhausted.  Everyone was talking on the bus, but halfway through the ride, the chatter faded, and the exhaustion worsened.  We went through security and found our terminal hours before our flight started boarding.  A small group of us went off to find food in the airport, and the rest stayed at the terminal.  After eating, we explored some shops, then went back and waited for the flight.

The flight was relatively short and uneventful.  I managed to get a bit of a nap in on the way.  We arrived in Texas with a 5 hours to kill before the next flight, so Hannah and I went exploring.  The airport was huge, but we had time.  We explored 4 out of the 5 terminals, then got dinner and returned to the group.  When we got back to terminal D, which was the one our plane was going to be leaving from, everyone was just sitting around and talking.  Apparently, Hannah and I were the only two who had gone and explored the airport.

We sat and talked with the rest of the group until the plane arrived.  Finally, we got on the airplane to Santiago.  During the flight, I sat next to an engineer who was going to Chile for work.  We talked a bit, and then, finally, I fell asleep.
